Finished size 12″ x 18″ Belgian Linen with the design hand stencilled, hand embroidery in stem stitch and buttonhole stitch.
Designed in conjuction with a major Arts & Crafts exhibition being held at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA), the design is adapted from a C. F. A. Voysey bedcover in LACMA’s permenent collection – shown in the background of the image at left.
The Arts and Crafts movement was one of the most significant and far-reaching design movements of the ninteenth and early twentieth centuries and is know for its purity of design and construction.
