Tile, by Adele Stimmel Chase (Hollander) 1917-2000. The tile measures 17.75 by 4 .375 inches, and the frame 20 by 7.375. The tile is signed on the front and back, not dated but the frame says “Rainy Day” and date 70. As found, the tile is detached from the wooden frame. There is a small chip in the upper right corner that I will try to show in a photo. There is a good write up about Adele in Kirby Brown’s book California Faience, 2015.
