Clinker Brick
Many Arts & Crafts homes had clinker brick fireplaces, walls, or chimneys. The years have not been kind to some of them so here is a chance for restoration.
Pictured is a fireplace built a few years ago as an example for their use. Originally the fireplace was clinkers, but the clinkers had been removed and a modern marble fireplace surround installed in the 1950s. The fireplace has been retrofitted with a gas insert and clinkers replaced.
