Finished size: 20″ x 72″ Natural Belgian Linen. Our variation of a design originally offered by Gustav Stickley’s Craftsman Workshops, ca. 1904, inspired by “details of plant-live liable to be overlooked save by the microscopic eye of the artist.”
The larger squares are hand stencilled in olive , the remainder of the design is worked in hand embroidery in satin stitch, stem stitch and a few French knots. The hemline can be worked drawn-thread hemstitching as pictured or in stem stitch.
